What did the March 2019 video say about Hindon airport?
The host stood outside the gate a week after the inauguration and said there was still a lot of work left. The airport is shared by the Indian Air Force and the Airports Authority of India, and the video description called the new part a civil enclave. Visitors were not allowed inside, so the vlog shows the entrance, the Make in India mark in front and the terminal's elevation from outside.
A local speaker said the structure is built of steel with only the base in concrete, as a cost-cutting choice that let it come up fast. The host's main point was that flights from Uttar Pradesh that used to divert to Delhi's Indira Gandhi airport would now have a nearer option, though the flight list was short.
Which eight cities were announced in 2019?
The video and its description list Hubli, Jamnagar, Shimla, Kalburgi, Kannur, Nashik, Faizabad and Pithoragarh. Business Today reported the same eight on 6 March 2019 and quoted an AAI official saying flights should begin in the first or second week of May.
The same report put the terminal's cost at Rs 45.2 crore, its area at 3,500 sq m and its peak capacity at 300 passengers an hour. Those are 2019 announcements, and the start of flights slipped by five months.
When did Hindon airport flights actually start?
The first commercial flight took off on 11 October 2019. Network Thoughts reported that day that Air Heritage flew a nine-seat King Air B350 between Hindon and Pithoragarh and back.
IndiGo began flying from Hindon on 20 July 2025. ETV Bharat reported on 26 December 2025 that the civil terminal then served 24 cities, including Mumbai, Patna, Bengaluru and Kolkata, with IndiGo, Air India Express, Star Air and FlyBig operating, and that Lucknow and Prayagraj flights were hoped for in 2026.
What is the Hindon flight schedule in winter 2026?
Reports in October 2026, in The Core and in a Hindustan Times report of 21 October 2026, said the airport would run six flights connecting six cities from the last week of October 2026 to mid April 2027, with two airlines operating them. The reports linked the cut to winter weather and the conflict in West Asia, and noted that the terminal has two commercial parking bays and no flights after sunset.
Schedules at Hindon change often, so treat that as the position on 21 October 2026 and not as a fixed timetable.
How did the video say you reach the terminal?
The host said travellers from Noida or Gurgaon could take the metro to Mohan Nagar and then an auto, taxi or other public transport to the airport. The Red Line extension to Shaheed Sthal, New Bus Adda, had opened on 9 March 2019, a week before the video.
A passenger interviewed on site said the nearer airport would save the long drive to Delhi and the traffic on the way.
What did the video expect for property near the airport?
The host expected the biggest effect in Sahibabad, on builder floors, bungalows, plots and any new construction. He forecast a rise of 20 to 30% from the airport and the metro together, a speculative first jump in prices, and a settling after two or three quarters, roughly a year.
A resident on camera said the area had been industrial and was turning semi-industrial and semi-residential. These are 2019 forecasts and this page does not state what prices did afterwards.
