What happened with the lift at Trump Tower Gurgaon?
The owner of flat 36C posted a video on X on the morning of 1 Nov 2026. In it he presses the lift call button outside his door, and the floor display runs 35, 36, 37 without stopping. He alleged that the builder M3M had cut his lift access and kept visitors and deliveries out, and called it house arrest.
The crowd's first answer was to take the stairs and call the lift from another floor. That does not work in this building. Each floor holds a single home, and the owner says the lift opens straight into the flat, so the floors above and below are other people's homes.
What do the police and M3M say?
Free Press Journal reported on the evening of 1 Nov 2026 that the local SHO said the police could not step in, because the owner had allegedly occupied the flat illegally and had not paid maintenance. The owner's reply on X was that the home is fully paid, with legal possession, and that no maintenance is pending. He says he took possession in late August 2026 and moved his furniture in on 30 Oct.
M3M's post-sales team declined to comment to the paper. As of 2 Nov 2026 PropTron found no public statement from M3M on the episode. Every claim here belongs to the person who made it.
Did the lift start working again?
Yes, by the owner's own account. As the post spread past six lakh views on 1 Nov, he replied on X that the builder had sent someone and the lift was working again that day. By 2 Nov the post had over 17 lakh views.
What is the price of a flat in Trump Tower Gurgaon?
At launch in January 2018 homes were priced at Rs 5 crore to Rs 10 crore, for about 3,500 to 6,000 sq ft. Resale listings on Square Yards, updated 16 Oct 2026, start at about Rs 10.72 crore. A 3 BHK of 3,525 sq ft is listed at Rs 11.25 crore to Rs 14.1 crore, a 4 BHK of 4,550 sq ft at Rs 14.5 crore to Rs 18.2 crore, and the largest 6,050 sq ft homes at Rs 18 crore to Rs 21.17 crore. These are asking prices, not closed deals.
Put another way, Rs 10 crore buys 25 flats at Rs 40 lakh each. That is the scale of home where a lift button became the whole story.
Who actually owns Trump Tower Gurgaon?
Not Donald Trump. The Trump Organization licenses the name only. The project's filings name Manglam Multiplex as the land owner and Olive Realcon as co-developer, M3M India builds it, and Tribeca Developers markets it. It is a different project from Trump Residences in Sector 69, which Smartworld launched in May 2025.
The building has two towers of about 47 floors and 254 homes in 3 and 4 BHK layouts. Handovers began in April 2025, and Tribeca marked the 100th handover in February 2026.
Can this happen in an ordinary society?
Yes. Until a resident association takes over, the builder's maintenance team usually runs the lifts, water supply, security and gate passes in any new society, at Rs 40 lakh or Rs 10 crore. A dispute over dues or possession can show up first at the lift, the water tank or the gate.
